Charles O’Donnell joined PlayVS in April 2025 through the acquisition of Playfly Sports’ esports division, where he had served as Vice President and Head of Esports since 2020. In his current role as Head of Collegiate Esports, Charles leads strategy, operations, and partnerships for PlayVS’ college esports business. He has overseen a complete brand refresh of the collegiate division and implemented scalable operational systems that have driven revenue growth and efficiency. 

Prior to his work with PlayVS and Playfly Sports, Charles held leadership roles in sports, entertainment, and technology, including Vice President of Sales at Fanalytical, Director of Sales & Service at Georgia Tech Athletics, and Senior Client Development Executive for the Philadelphia Flyers. His early career also included work in the live entertainment industry as a touring agent for APA Talent and Literary Agency, representing major recording artists.

Charles holds a BA in History from Penn State University, an MBA from Alvernia University, and an MA in Economics from the University of Maine. He brings a unique combination of revenue growth expertise, operational leadership, and a passion for building programs that connect competitive gaming with meaningful academic and career outcomes.
